First, dancing

It all started when I was seven. Fascinated by an old pair of my mother’s ballet shoes in a display cabinet, I nagged my parents until they agreed to sign me up for ballet lessons.

One lesson a week turned into two, three, then five or six, plus weekend workshops all over France. At 14, I discovered contemporary dance at one such workshop and eventually embarked on a career in the discipline.

I joined the Conservatory in Caen in 2005, while studying for my baccalaureate (with English). In 2008 I was awarded a professional diploma in dance and qualified as a dance instructor in 2010. I taught for two years and performed with several companies.

Then, English

In 2013 I felt the desire to bring my second passion to the fore.

I graduated from the University of Paris III – Sorbonne Nouvelle with a degree in English and completed a master’s degree equivalent with Edvenn.

My career in translation began in Japan in 2020, when I was hired by the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Committee where I worked for several months. On my return to France in the autumn of that year, I set up my freelance translation business.

My new career combines both my passions: dance and translation.

In 2022 I seized the opportunity to join the ResMusica editorial team as a critic, a role that gives me the chance to keep in step with the dance world, following trends in choreography in France.
